OSCARS100 RACE FORMATS

One Day Solo Runner

Starting in 2025, our one day solo race is levelling up! With new cutoff times and zero layover points, it's now a true one-day dash. The new motto? "Finish or bust!" You'll need to stay ahead of the checkpoints and conquer the 100km course in under 22 hours. But why the change? It's all about keeping our runners and volunteers safe.

Thinking this is only for the super speedy? Think again! We've got a new twist that opens up the adventure to everyone.

Two Day Solo Runner

Drumroll, please...

Introducing the Two Day Solo Race! This fresh format at the Hut 2 Hut weekend lets you tackle the course over two days, with timing for each day and a combined total. You'll carry the same mandatory gear as the one day solo runners. Day 01 ends with a mandatory layover at Lovicks Hut, where your tent and sleeping bag will be ready and waiting (please note, two day runners will not be allowed to continue past Lovicks Layover point on day 01 and attempt the course in one day. If one day is the goal then the one day solo is what you need to enter). On Day 02, it's a race to the finish – no layover, just pure adrenaline as you aim to cross the line by midnight. Finish line or bust, baby!

Two Day Team Runner

Team up for double the fun! The Two Day Team Race follows the same rules as the solo version, but with a twist: you'll carry your own sleeping bag and mat. Plus, your entry fee is lower because teams share a PLB and tracker, carry their own sleeping bags and mats while solo runners need their own PLB and tracker and have their sleeping gear is transported for them. Teams share the gear (and the glory), solos fly solo!

Three Day Team Trekkers

Three cheers for the Three Day Team Trekkers! No changes here – just you, your team, and two and a half days of glorious trekking, the anxiety of keeping ahead of cutoffs but the benefit of having the time marvel at the views this course offers.
